You will learn about creating and managing site collections including the use of the UI and using PowerShell to manage components. This will include understanding the difference in classic versus modern as well as the new modern capabilities and management in SharePoint Online.

 

Then, we will look at the options for managing user profiles, adding custom properties and also changing the location that users can go to access their personal sites.

 

There will be some PowerShell used in your lab exercises, don’t worry if you are new to using PowerShell, in Module 1 you will learn what is required to set an administration machine up for 365 using PowerShell and we have further courses available for PowerShell if you want to learn more.

 

You will learn about adding apps from the store and creating your own App catalog and distributing apps you have developed in-house. You will also learn the difference between SharePoint apps and Azure apps as part of the decision exercise in what apps to deploy and why.

 

you will learn about the ECM options in SharePoint online including records declaration and data loss prevention. This module involves some work in the security and compliancy center due to some of SharePoint’s compliancy tools now being managed from there.
